Dental Technology

The Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry Center is known for providing exceptional dental care at lower prices than can be found in the U.S. One of the ways Dr. Jose Valenzuela and our team guarantee quality is by using cutting-edge dental technology for each treatment. Take a look at some of the tools our Los Algodones, Mexico, dental clinic has invested in to create a state-of-the-art dental experience.

Why Technology Matters When It Comes to Dentistry

A dental clinic that stays up-to-date with the latest tools and technology can provide faster, higher quality, and better-informed dental care to its patients.

Our investment in high-end materials and technology is an investment in your dental health. We want to ensure you receive the finest dental work to be found in Los Algodones—or the United States, for that matter. The majority of our patients visit us from across the border, and it's our job to make sure the trip is worth their time. We do that by offering affordable prices for dental work, as well as using tools and systems that promote more accurate diagnoses, quicker recovery times, and lasting results.

Featured Dental Technology At Our Los Algodones Dental Clinic

Our dentist uses these tools to plan and complete a wide variety of dental treatments, from custom dental veneers to root canal therapy and dental implant placement. Patients travel to our Los Algodones dental office from Mexicali, Southern California, Western Arizona, and beyond to experience the benefits of:

Digital X-Rays and CT Scans

Digital X-rays and CT scans allow our dentist to diagnose dental conditions and plan treatments more accurately than he could with traditional imaging software. The high level of imaging detail lets us clearly zoom in on even the smallest potential problem areas, which could be easily missed on previous machines.

Digital systems provide better imaging quality, and they also emit much less radiation, which means a safer and healthier treatment experience for patients.

High-Magnification Intraoral Cameras

Digital X-rays help the team at our Los Algodones office see what's inside your teeth, while our intraoral cameras show us what the surfaces of your teeth look like magnified on a high-definition LCD screen.

We can find hairline cracks and potential issues that would otherwise be invisible to the naked eye, helping nip small concerns in the bud before they develop into larger, often costlier problems.

CAD/CAM Technology

You can receive custom-made dental restorations in just one visit to our dental office in Los Algodones, Mexico, thanks to our computer-aided design/computer-aided milling system.

Many dental practices take weeks to deliver finished restorations and often have to send designs to an outside lab for fabrication. We have our very own dental lab to significantly reduce treatment times and retain complete control over the treatment process. Dr. Valenzuela can use the CAD/CAM system to provide same-day veneers, dental crowns, inlays and onlays, and dental implant-supported restorations.

Diode laser

Soft-Tissue Diode Lasers

Dr. Valenzuela uses a soft-tissue laser for periodontal therapy, dental implant surgery, and cosmetic dentistry procedures like gum contouring.

This diode laser makes treatment far more comfortable than is possible with traditional tools. In combination with local anesthetic or sedation (both provided by our Los Algodones team), you likely won't feel anything at all while he works on your smile. The laser also allows our dentist to more accurately target areas of concern, resulting in less bleeding and a faster and easier recovery.

Plasma Rich in Growth Factor (PRGF) System

There are natural growth factors in blood plasma and platelets that help with the healing process by accelerating the regeneration of injured tissues. These growth factors can be harnessed to promote faster recovery in what is known as the Plasma Rich in Growth Factor (PRGF) System®.

Dr. Valenzuela takes a small amount of blood (for example, from the arm), isolates the platelets in a centrifuge, and then uses a thin film of the resulting compound to cover healing areas left by oral surgery, such as dental implant placement or root canal therapy.
