Select from a Range of Dental Implant Restoration Options
As our name implies, Dental Implant Center is renowned for placing and restoring dental prosthetics. Implants, or artificial tooth roots topped with natural-looking teeth, are an excellent option to replace missing teeth or teeth that have had to be extracted because of significant damage or decay. Not only does our practice handle the surgical placement of the implants ourselves, but we also restore the implants, leaving you with a beautiful, functional full set of teeth. If you would like more information about dental implant restorations, please contact our Los Algodones dental office today to speak with a member of our team.
The Restoration of Dental Implants
After your implant root has been placed in the jawbone and had time to adequately heal, Dr. Jose Valenzuela will top it with an artificial tooth. If the implant is a single-tooth replacement, Dr. Valenzuela uses a custom-crafted crown. The crown will be designed to meet your particular specifications, and it will be created to match your surrounding teeth in color, shape, size, and texture. Dr. Valenzuela will screw the crown onto the top of the implant rod. Once it’s firmly attached, you’ll be able to speak and chew normally. The pressure that you place on the implant root will even stimulate your jawbone, preventing it from deteriorating and causing larger oral health problems.
If you need to have two or more teeth replaced, you have options besides crowns. Implant roots can also support a dental bridge or a set of dentures. A bridge, composed of an artificial tooth with a dental crown on either side, will slip snugly into the gap, restoring your ability to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. Dentures can be secured to implants by snapping into the posts, thus eliminating the need for messy adhesive products.
Other practices may require you to see different specialists during the implant placement and restoration process, but Dental Implant Center is a one-stop shop for dental implants. Not only does Dr. Valenzuela place the implant posts into the jawbone, but he also places the artificial teeth on top of the posts. Our patients appreciate the ease and convenience of having to visit only one practice for all of their implant dentistry needs.
