Digital X-rays and CT Scans

Photo of a hand pointing at a dental x-rayWith our modern digital x-ray and CT (computerized tomography) scan system, we can provide a higher level of care than was possible with traditional imaging software. Thanks to advances in technology, digital x-rays emit 50 to 90 percent less radiation while simultaneously providing a much more detailed, higher resolution image. Our new imaging systems are completely computerized, which means we can digitally organize all of your dental images for future reference. Our new x-ray and CT scanner speed the diagnostic phase of your appointment, and their high level of detail helps us more effectively plan your treatment by giving us the ability to enlarge and zoom in on small problems that might be difficult to examine on previous machines.

Plasma Rich in Growth Factors (PRGF) System®

There are natural growth factors in blood plasma and platelets that help with the healing process by accelerating the regeneration of injured tissues. Dr. Valenzuela takes a small amount of your blood (for example, from the arm), purifies the platelets, and then uses this compound to clot wounds left by oral surgery – such as dental implant placement surgery. This is known as the Plasma Rich in Growth Factors (PRGF) System®. PRGF technology decreases your risk of complications by up to 30 percent.

Dr. Valenzuela performs cosmetic dentistry and dental implant procedures using the most advanced techniques and technologies so that his patients can achieve their goals at a fraction of the cost of stateside dental clinics.

Piezoelectric Surgery

The highly advanced piezoelectric surgical technique offers a way to selectively cut hard tissue in the mouth without damaging surrounding tissue. The piezoelectric surgery unit uses ultrasonic technology to generate micro vibrations for bone cutting with minimal trauma to soft tissue. This system can also be used in surgery on the hard tissue and nerves.

Soft Tissue Diode Laser

The diode laser can precisely and effectively remove soft tissue to provide a more attractive gum line, or to improve your periodontal health. In addition, as the laser works, it seals the soft tissues for a more comfortable procedure and faster, easier recovery.

High-magnification Intraoral Cameras

While digital X-rays help us see what is inside and underneath your teeth, our high-magnification intraoral cameras will show us and you what the surfaces of your teeth look like magnified on a high-definition LCD screen. Using this cutting-edge technology, we can find hairline cracks and potential problem areas that would otherwise be invisible to the naked eye, thereby helping nip small concerns in the bud before they develop into larger, potentially costlier problems.

Computerized Operatories

Our high-tech displays allow us to show you exactly what we see with our digital x-rays and intraoral cameras. This gives you the ability to see the dental problems that require treatment and helps you to make informed choices about your own dental care. We also offer patient education videos to provide you with even more background information about your specific dental treatment.
