“By far the most professional dental clinic in Los Algodones.  I’m an American from Indiana and like most had scary thoughts crossing the border.

I felt very safe here and the team at Cosmetic & Implant dentistry center took great care of me and the other patients I encountered here.  A driver picked me up daily for my appointments. Mike helped me arrange my travel and stay and they spoke fluent English and even took time to ensure their work was perfection.

Thank you for giving me a smile I can be proud of again”

Am I a Good Candidate for Veneers?

If you have severe tooth damage or decay, we can cover cosmetic issues and restore the health of your tooth with a crown instead. A crown fits over a broken or decayed tooth to protect it and restore its appearance all at once. If you have teeth that are missing altogether, dental implants provide a great fix.

Additionally, if your main concern about your smile is discoloration, our Los Algodones office offers in-house teeth whitening treatment that may be a simpler solution than veneers.

To qualify for veneers at our practice in Los Algodones, Mexico, you should have:

  • Good oral health
  • Sufficient enamel
  • Mostly straight teeth that don't require orthodontics
  • No teeth grinding, as this can damage your veneers
  • Good dental hygiene

For patients with significant issues that impact their oral health and function, we offer a range of options, including dental implants, so you can get the dental work you need in one location.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneer placement is typically done in two trips to the dentist, but our dental clinic in Los Algodones, Mexico, can often have veneers ready in a single day. Here's what to expect during your appointment:

Walk in with stained, discolored, or chipped teeth.

Walk out with a fully transformed smile.

Impressions

You will first meet our dentist to discuss your goals and design your smile. After addressing any dental concerns and preparing your teeth by removing a thin layer of enamel, our dentist will take impressions of your teeth and begin designing your veneers.

Veneer Creation

We will then use your impressions to create your veneers. They can be made of porcelain or IPS e.max®. We also place LUMINEERS®. Our dentist will go over your options with you so you can choose a veneer that fits your unique needs.

Adjustments

Once your veneers are ready, we can place them. Our dentist will first make sure your veneers fit and feel natural. If needed, he will make any necessary adjustments.

Placement

Our dentist will then make etchings on the surface of the teeth receiving the veneers to create a better bonding surface. Then, he will attach your porcelain veneers to the front of your teeth using special dental cement.

All that is left to do is enjoy your new smile. Be sure to brush and floss as normal to keep your smile beautiful for years to come.

Veneers vs. Lumineers: Know the Difference

Not sure which cosmetic option is right for you? At Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry Center, we offer both traditional veneers and Lumineers®, so you can choose the solution that best fits your goals, timeline, and comfort preferences.

  • Traditional veneers

Traditional Veneers require slight reshaping of your teeth but offer dramatic improvements in shape, color, and alignment. Thanks to our in-house CAD/CAM tech, they’re often ready in just one visit.

  • Lumineers®

Lumineers are ultra-thin, minimal-prep veneers that preserve more of your natural tooth. They’re ideal for patients seeking a reversible, less invasive option, and they're typically placed over two easy visits.

Both choices can deliver stunning, long-lasting results. Dr. Valenzuela will walk you through your options during your consultation.
