More Reasons to Choose LUMINEERS
Our practice does not compromise on anything, especially the dental veneers that we offer. We want our patients to share their smile with confidence, not hide it. For the best quality treatment, we use LUMINEERS® when patients want to conceal minor chips, cracks, and discoloration in their smile. We also value your time, which is why the LUMINEERS® process only requires two visits. Dr. Jose Valenzuela, Jr, in Los Algodones, Baja California, Mexico, offers these advanced veneers to patients who want to improve the appearance of their smile, and share it proudly.
LUMINEERS can dramatically transform your smile without the need to make significant alterations to its underlying structure.
Over time, teeth naturally become stained and weaker in structure, sometimes chipping and breaking. Usually, individuals do not look forward to showing off their smile if it is discolored, misshapen, or chipped, which is why LUMINEERS® work so well. These restorations are small, thin porcelain shells that are placed over the front surfaces of teeth to mask imperfections. The result is a natural-looking, glowing smile you can be proud to showcase.
We choose to use this brand because of their long-standing reputation as the most requested veneers option by patients. These restorations are made of either porcelain or composite resin and are designed with durability in mind, lasting up to 20 years. In addition, with typical veneers, Dr. Valenzuela would often need to shave down parts of your teeth in order to accommodate the veneers. With most LUMINEERS® cases, there is no need for removing large portions of the tooth, and usually no need for temporary veneers to be placed while waiting for your permanent restorations.
The Lumineers® Process
The placement process for this cosmetic procedure is simple, and only requires two visits to complete. After a personalized consultation with Dr. Valenzuela, where he will perform a thorough dental cleaning and exam, we will take impressions and highly accurate scans of your teeth with our advanced technology. These scans and impressions, will be sent to the certified LUMINEERS® laboratory to fabricate your personalized veneers.
Once your custom restorations are complete, you will return for your second visit. Dr. Valenzuela will present the veneers to you for your review and approval, and you will try them on to ensure a good fit. Once you have confirmed the look and fit, your teeth will be lightly etched to create a strong bonding surface. Dr. Valenzuela will apply the bonding agent, place your veneers, and check your bite to ensure proper balance. This step will help avoid uneven pressure across your bite, and will promote longevity for your newly improved smile.
