Your Comfort Is Our Priority Sedation Dentistry Options

We offer several types of anesthesia and sedation to help you have a pleasant visit. From local numbing solution to IV sedation, we are committed to keeping you safe and comfortable for the duration of your appointment.

All-on-4 Costs

Replacing all the teeth in your upper or lower jaw can become expensive. While traditional dentures are less expensive than implant-supported restorations, they typically require more maintenance costs over the long term. In general, All-on-4 implants are a cost-effective option for permanently restoring a full arch of teeth.

There are several factors that can affect the final cost of your treatment, including:

Tooth extraction icon

Preparatory Procedures

Bone grafts, extractions, or other preparatory treatments can raise your final cost.

Implant dentures icon

Restoration Type

The materials used to make your restoration will affect the final price.

While sedation will make treatment more comfortable, it does add to your total bill.

Advanced Techniques

Using advanced treatments, such as PGRF, can speed healing but also raise cost.

Advanced Technology  Get More Precise Treatment

At Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry Center in Los Algodones, Mexico, we have a range of state-of-the-art technologies that allow us to customize your treatment in the office. We use computed tomography (CT) scans to carefully map out your treatment, as well as intraoral scans and smile design software to design your restoration. Our dentists can also print a surgical guide on our in-office 3-D printer to ensure the precise placement of each of the four implants.

In addition, we use advanced techniques, such as platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) and plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF), to speed the healing process after bone grafting and implant placement.

Did You Know? Four Implants Can Support a Denture

All-on-4 is a dental implant placement technique developed by Nobel Biocare, one of the leaders in implant dentistry. The treatment is designed to be a minimally invasive, cost-effective method for restoring a full arch of teeth.

All-on-4 vs. Traditional Implants

Number of Implants

When performing All-on-4 at our Los Algodones practice, our dentists place the two posterior implants at a 45-degree angle to make contact with as much bone tissue as possible; they also place two implants toward the front of the dental arch. This can enable patients with bone loss to undergo All-on-4 treatment without the need for a bone graft. With traditional implants, a greater number of implants are used to secure the restoration in place.

Number of Missing Teeth

Traditional dental implants can be a great option for certain patients. While the All-on-4 technique is ideal for patients missing a full arch of teeth, traditional implants can replace a single tooth, several missing teeth, or an entire arch of teeth.

Improve Your Candidacy How to Prepare for Dental Implants

The first step in starting dental implant treatment is contacting our Los Algodones dental practice. Patients from nearby Mexicali can simply drive to our practice. Our English-speaking personnel will coordinate your transportation, accommodations, and book your procedure if you are from the United States or Canada.

To ensure the success and safety of your dental treatment, we recommend that you:

  • Stop smoking: Smoking can result in poor healing and increase the risk of complications during your procedure.
  • Keep your blood sugar in check: If you are diabetic, you should maintain healthy glucose levels to help your body heal more efficiently.
  • Prepare a list of medications: Bring a list of medications to your appointment so that our dentists can ensure that none of them counteract with the treatment.

Our team is always available to answer your questions about treatment, and will provide a full list of pre-operative instructions prior to surgery.

The All-on-4 Treatment Procedure

It typically takes about two hours per arch to place All-on-4 implants. Total treatment time, with healing, takes up to six months.

When we begin your treatment process at our office in Los Algodones, Mexico, we will administer the anesthesia and sedation of your choice to ensure your comfort.

Next, we will make small incisions in your gums through which we will place the four implant posts.

Implant Placement

We will place the two front implants vertically in your jaw, and the two back posts are placed at a slight angle.

We usually place a temporary denture within a day of your implant surgery so you can enjoy full dental function while you heal.

It typically takes four to six months for the implants to fuse with your jawbone. This process is called osseointegration. It involves the surrounding bones and soft tissues growing around the implant posts, holding them securely in place and making them a part of your natural anatomy.

Custom Dentures

Once you have fully healed, we can design and place your custom denture for a fully restored smile. We will take digital impressions of your healthy dental arches, design a restoration that complements your features, and have it fabricated at a quality dental lab. As the last step of treatment, we will secure your new denture to your implants.

The staff here along with Dr. Jose Valenzuela are all very pleasant! So very helpful, thoughtful & caring. Each one genuinely cares for every patient that walks through their doors. I initially brought my mom in for cosmetic dental work but now am considering getting my work done here as well. We drive a little over 2 hrs from San Diego to Los Algondones but it is well worth the drive. Our journey with Dr. Valenzuela is just beginning but we are pleasantly happy with our experience thus far :)

Dr. Valenzuela was very compassionate, kind, professional and a perfectionist when it came to his work. His office staff was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. My teeth are beautiful and look natural. I will recommend Dr. V to anybody needing dental work done!

All-on-4 Recovery: FAQs

What Side Effects Should I Expect?

If you were put under IV sedation, you may feel groggy in the hours after your surgery. Bleeding typically stops within a day, and can be reduced by biting on a piece of gauze. Discomfort is common after any type of surgery, and usually subsides within a week. Swelling is also expected after surgery, and may last for a week or two.

How Can I Reduce Pain after Surgery?

Pain is one of our patients' biggest concerns during and after surgery. That is why we use local anesthesia and sedation to keep you comfortable during the dental implant procedure. Before the effects of these sedatives wear off, patients should take pain medication to reduce discomfort after surgery. Taking pain medication on schedule for a few days after surgery is the best way to minimize discomfort. In addition, patients can change the way they eat for a few days.

What Foods Can I Eat after Surgery?

To reduce discomfort, we recommend that patients consume liquids or soft foods while healing. Some options include smoothies, soups, noodles, cooked cereals, yogurt, soft potatoes, and more. Plan meals and snacks ahead of time so you can feel satisfied after eating without experiencing any discomfort during the healing process. In most cases, patients should eat a diet of soft foods for up to one week after the dental implants are surgically placed.

How Long Do All-on-4 Implants Last?

With proper oral and periodontal care, the All-on-4 implants themselves can last a lifetime. Your dentures, on the other hand, may need to be replaced every 10 to 15 years if you properly care for them. While the high-quality materials we use to craft dentures are durable and resistant to stains and damage, they eventually begin to wear. In addition, the shape of the dental arch may change with time. That is why we will periodically recommend denture replacement to improve the appearance and fit of the prosthesis.

How Do I Care for My Implants and Dentures?

Although you no longer have any natural teeth after All-on-4 treatment, thereby preventing tooth decay from ever forming, the gums and underlying bone structures are still susceptible to dental damage. It is important to keep the gums and adjacent dentures as clean as possible. Clean your mouth at least twice a day with denture-approved toothpaste and a soft-bristled manual or electric toothbrush, in addition to other special tools. Proxy brushers, floss threaders, and waterpiks can reach between the dentures and dental implants to thoroughly clean these areas and keep them free of harmful dental bacteria.

What's Holding You Back? We Offer Comfortable, Affordable Care

Cost and fear of pain are two of the biggest factors holding patients back from seeking All-on-4 treatment. By undergoing treatment with our skilled dentists in Mexico, you can receive affordable care. In addition, we offer various sedation methods to keep you comfortable during treatment, and we can prescribe pain medication to reduce discomfort after the dental implant procedure.

We are proud to serve patients from Mexicali, California, Arizona, and other areas of North America. Take the first step toward experiencing stable and beautiful tooth replacement by contacting us online to ask a question or request a consultation. This allows you to learn more about your options with no obligation to undergo treatment. You can also reach us by phone:

Alternative Treatments

Traditional Dental Implants

Traditional dental implants are, in many cases, considered the best possible treatment option. However, in cases in which patients want to avoid a bone graft procedure and often enjoy some cost-saving benefits, All-on-4 is an excellent alternative. However, it is important to note that All-on-4 is more limited in its tooth replacement abilities; it is only used to replace all of the teeth on the upper or lower jaws. In addition to full arch replacement, traditional dental implants can be used to replace a single tooth or multiple missing teeth.

Traditional Dentures

Our dentists in Los Algodones, Mexico, also offer custom-made traditional dentures to improve your dental function and appearance. While dentures of the past have been known to slip out of place and feel uncomfortable, improved materials and fabrication processes have enabled us to craft dentures that look and feel more natural, improving your ability to speak, chew, and smile. This option is the most affordable, requires less preparatory dental work, and avoids the need for a surgical procedure, making it appealing to many patients.
